JIMMY, YOU HAVEN’T CHANGED

Now I’ve heard it all. Former president jimmy carter now claims that Joe Wilson’s comment calling Obama a liar was racist. Give me a break. Not only is Carter stupid to make that comment, but it makes me believe that carter must have white guilt about slavery. He’s from the south and probably some of his ancestors were slave owners.

America is a melting pot of so many different ethnic groups and cultures that it is impossible to say something and not offend somebody. Jimmy “get over it.” I also happen to think that Obama is a liar but that has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

Carter was not only a terrible president who led the country in the wrong direction, he is also in my opinion an idiot who should keep his mouth shut because he keeps putting his foot in it.

Not only do I believe that Obama is a liar, he is also inconsiderate of the wants and needs of the American people. He forgets that the people elected him and he is here to serve THEM. Unfortunately he has made up his mind and he has his own agenda on where he wants to take our country.Joe Wilson’s comment had nothing to do with racism. He and a whole lot of other people just don’t like the direction that this administration is taking our country and they often lie to the people to get their way.

Jimmy, you had your chance and blew it. Go back to peanut farming and keep your stupid opinions to yourself.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Labor Day weekend is here and we have not heard from the president for a few days now. It appears that he’s been hiding. He’s taking a vacation to recuperate from the vacation that he just came back from. By the way isn’t it interesting that we haven’t seen much of Michelle either?

Back at the ranch, his right hand man, our fearless and all knowing vice president has been doing all the talking. Biden is proclaiming success beyond expectations for the $787 billion economic stimulus, but his glowing assessment overlooks many of the program's problems, including delays in releasing money, questionable spending priorities and project picks that are under investigation.

"The Recovery Act is doing more, faster and more efficiently and more effectively than most people expected," he said. What has ne been smoking?

Just today it was announced that “Unemployment hits 26 year high”. In my opinion he has no clue.

Well what do you expect from a leadership team that has no experience in dealing with such humongous issues? Getting elected is one thing, but doing the actual job is another.

Let’s see what the Big Kahuna has to say to congress next week.

THE LAST OF THE KENNEDY DYNASTY

I am not one to celebrate anyone’s death, even someone who I dislike or even consider an enemy to my way of thinking. I do however believe in telling the truth and making sure that people don’t forget the facts. Unfortunately this has become politically incorrect in America.

I received this email from a friend this morning and sent it to a few friemnds. Another friend suggested that I post it on my Blog..so here it is.

******

As soon as Ted Kennedy’s cancer was detected, I noticed the immediate attempt at the "canonization" of old Teddy Kennedy by the mainstream media. They are saying what a "great American" he is. I say, let's get a couple things clear & not twist the facts to change the real history.

1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him.

2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. Oops! The man can't count to four! His father, Joseph P Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up from bootlegging liquor into the US from Canada during prohibition), pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. No preferential treatment for him! (Like he charged that President Bush received).

3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a person of his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private!

4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959. Amazing!

5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash, and hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the hospital at the time he was admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated. The results of those tests remained a "state secret" until in the 1980's when the report was unsealed. Didn't hear about that from the unbiased media, did we?

6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's keys to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.

7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, passing several houses and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew - that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car. The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-state to her family, before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne and he didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight. Since the accident, Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS. Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court, and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's bills... a "token of friendship"?

8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent, and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as the "standard-bearer for liberalism". In his very first Senate roll, he was the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.

9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of an increase in immigration, up to and including the latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court nominees, as if he was the standard bearer for the nation in matters of "what's right". What a pompous ass!

10. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud, boisterous and very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better description than "great American". "A blonde in every pond" was his motto.

The spin doctors will make this man a hero -- how quickly the American public forgets what his real legacy is. What happened to truth, justice and the American way?

THE CHANGE IS HERE

It has been some time since my last entry not only because I didn’t have time to write, but because there is so much to write about that I couldn’t decide where to start.

America is in trouble my friend and we need to change the direction that we are going in or our constitutional rights will be taken away from us and we won’t be able to turn it back.

As a refugee, an immigrant, a veteran and a patriot it is very sad for me to see that America is heading in the same direction as the country that my family escaped from over fifty years ago.

As an American I resent my president globetrotting around the world apologizing for what we as Americans have done. America is not perfect and we, especially our military have nothing to be ashamed of. If there is anything that we should be ashamed of, it is the politicians that we elected to office and the corrupt way that they do business.

As our leader goes around the world apologizing he is playing into the hands of the enemy. He is weakening our country and putting us in danger. He is badmouthing that which he represents and is supposed to support and protect.

As one that escaped from a communist country I can tell you that the Russians cannot be trusted. They don’t like us and they definitely don’t trust us. I don’t say this because I don’t like Russians; I say this because I experienced firsthand what the Russians do when they make up their minds. The war in Georgia last year is an example on how they do business.

Russia does not respect human rights just as the Chinese don’t. But the one thing I can assure you is that neither Russia nor China has a problem with illegal immigration like America does. Illegal immigrants in those countries do not go to a doctor or a hospital and expect free medical treatment at the taxpayer’s expense. An illegal immigrant cannot get a drivers license or go on welfare in those countries. That only happens in America,

That brings me to the healthcare debate that is currently an issue in the United States. Barack Obama wants everyone to have access to inexpensive healthcare and that includes an estimated 13 million illegal immigrants. Although he went to Harvard, it is obvious that he has not thought this through, or he has some really ignorant advisors around him.

I as a taxpayer who currently does not have health insurance sure as hell do not want my taxes to pay for someone who is in this country illegally. If our healthcare system is so bad than explain to me why every famous worldly politician comes to America when they have a major health problem. You never hear of anyone going to China or Russia.

I personally do not think that a healthcare bill will pass in this country this year like Barack Obama wants. God forbid that the US government will control medical care. It will be a nightmare and of course there will be more corruption.

The corruption will be just like there is in the other socialist countries. People will start paying kickbacks to doctors and staff to get appointments and treatment. It exists in socialized countries now and it is built into the system. When everyone is treated equally the only way to get special treatment is to know somebody or pay someone off.

My mother just came back to the United States after living in Hungary for the past eight years. While I was deployed to Iraq my sister had to go to Hungary and get her on an airplane and fly her back to America. She had some medical issues and the hospitals in Hungary said “we can’t help you.” That’s socialized medicine.

Back here in the United States she is being treated with dignity and getting the necessary treatment that she needs. I do have to agree that our medical system has faults and needs some fixing but the direction that our president wants to take us is way off track, not to mention the fact that we can’t afford the changes he wants. His solution is to tax everyone who is making money and they will pay for it. This is not only unfair but in my mind will bring many disgruntled Americans to the surface. The only thing I see about this situation that is good, is that people will wake up and realize that their vote for Obama was a mistake and they will not reelect him.

If you think we have a problem with people hiding their money offshore today wait and see what will happen when the government will increase taxes on businesses and those individuals that are making more than a million dollars. They will take their money out of this country in a heartbeat and I don’t blame them.

If the president is saying that this change in healthcare will be so good, then he and every member of congress should give up their current health plan (that you and I pay for) and they also should be covered in the same program just like you and I. If that were to happen, than I would seriously have to think that he believes in this change and as a leader he is practicing what he preaches.

That however is not going to ever happen. What congress and the president have they will never give up. They want change for us but they want their special perks and benefits for them to continue on. In other words do as I say, not as I do.

The change that we really need in this country is to get every politician that is currently in office out of office and elect people that are interested in representing our best interest. We need politicians and leaders who love America and want to keep America free. We need honest and ethical politicians who are here to represent our best interests. Unfortunately I don’t believe that they exist.

After being deployed overseas for the past thirteen years I saw firsthand how socialism and corruption go hand in hand. I have been struggling for the past decade to get my family back to the United States to the home of the Free and the land of the Brave.

As much as I hate to admit it, our political system is more corrupt than the one I just left behind in Hungary. This is not the change that America voted for and this is definitely not the change that we need.

The change we need is to clean house in Washington and in our state capitals. We need some new blood and fresh faces in our political system, because if we keep heading in the direction that we are currently going in, than all I see ahead for our country is tragedy and turmoil.

God Bless America!

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. BLIND AS A BAT

The first 100 days are over and the popularity of our president, Barack Obama is steady. His ratings are high, the economy is improving, or at least it seems to be. He is on TV everyday with his great big smile loving every minute of his powerful position and new lifestyle. The media won’t let up on promoting everything that he does.

Being a conservative, I worry about the direction he is taking the country, but as my commander in chief I have to give him the benefit of the doubt,…after all he is my president. I just hope he knows what he’s doing, and as I say this, there is distrust and uncertainty in the back of my mind.

In his first 100 days he has met with South American leaders including Chaves and Ortega. He also went to Europe and apologized along the way for the acts and past behavior of America. I see nothing wrong with being humble and admitting ones mistake, if and when mistakes are made, but I believe that he is going a little bit too far.

It seems to me that it still is not getting through his gullible skull that the world is a dangerous place and our enemies cannot be trusted. Not everyone that he meets with will tell him the truth and he should quit being so naive. Having been a refugee and an immigrant from a former communist country, I know from experience that “the Russians cannot be trusted, especially Putin.”

Obama actually considered having retired military personnel pay for their healthcare. Thank God that idea never took hold but what was he thinking? Who was his advisor that suggested such a stupid idea? He has not yet realized how important our military is, especially in this dangerous world and how much our men and women in uniform sacrifice to keep our country safe.

If you take a close look at president Obama’s cabinet and staff, most of them are young liberal yuppies, many of them millionaires, some tax evaders and many inexperienced at the task that they have been handed.

I do not know these people personally so I will not pick on them but I am concerned. I have no choice but to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that their intentions are honorable and that their goal is to benefit the American people and not stuff their own pockets while employed by this administration.

Look at Bill Clinton as an example. He never owned a house before he became president and now he’s a multimillionaire. His speeches can’t be worth that much. Or is it maybe who he knows and how he can get people together to do deals. You tell me!

The socialist country where my family is coming from in Europe is a very corrupt country that I have grown to hate and despise. It is the country that I was born in and from where my family escaped in 1956.

I have gotten disgusted over the years at all the corruption that is taking place there, and I am sad to say that I see the same corruption on a grander scale taking place in the American political system.

This new administration is taking a different direction than the previous leadership, and with some things I happen to agree.

With that said, I just want to know “what was president Obama was thinking when he signed this presidential determination”, and why was this topic not discussed by the media? How is this good for America?

http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2009/E9-2488.htm

Now I have nothing against Arabs, or Muslims personally, but one has to ask the question, “why now?” Why so secretly?

Having worked in Iraq for 14 months I have come in contact with many Muslims, many who were US citizens with a security clearance. In my humble opinion, I have no idea how some of them were granted a clearance at all, let alone Top Secret. That fact alone was an eye opener to me and was clear evidence on how weak our system is and how vulnerable America really is.

As I mentioned, I am in the process of moving my family from an ex communist country, very socialist to this day, finally to America. At the same time I am starting to realize that we are going towards that same direction that I am trying to rescue my family from. Socialism.

I repeat once again that I am not here to bash the new administration, and I am not a supporter of the hard headed, abrasive conservative right, but I do worry about where America is heading.

I have been to many countries in my life which enabled me to see how other cultures live and play. It has been a good mirror to look into that has enabled me to see the good things as well as the bad about America.

Yes, America is not perfect, far from it, but it is still one of the best places in the world to live, at least for the time being.

Why do you think the Chinese are buying up lots of real estate in California, and why are groups from England taking real estate tours and buying foreclosed properties in Detroit 10, 50 and even 100 at a time.

Because, America will bounce back and the opportunities that are here do not exist in their own countries. The sad part to this story is that foreigners and not Americans are buying these investments and they will benefit.

The problem with America is everything is for sale. Money talks and nobody walks. If you pay you can play. Unfortunately we are selling our country out from underneath us.

I learned over a decade ago, having been a government contractor that “it’s all about the money.” Integrity, honesty and loyalty all goes down the drain for a few dollars. Everything and everyone can be bought. Patriotism has become a dirty word and I have a difficult time naming anyone in congress who is there primarily for the benefit of our nation.

It appears to me that everyone is on the take. I wish I was wrong, but I don’t think so. All the politicians are quick to point fingers when something goes wrong but rarely do they take blame for mistakes they or their colleagues make. Bipartisan politics does not exist, not here or anywhere. Bipartisanship is a delusional concept promised on campaign trails but never practiced in reality.

Where am I heading with this conversation?

“National Security.”

Not everything that George W. Bush did was bad. Yes he made some mistakes, and yes I’m glad that he’s gone, but…some things he was right about. In time history will evaluate him, but even that is difficult to say, because the history books in this country are being rewritten as we speak, and some of the changes are very misleading.

We have become a politically correct country and we are apologizing for many things that should not be apologized for. In the meantime our enemies are plotting against us and we don’t even know it. I hope to God our leaders will wake up before it’s too late. The world is changing and this change is taking place in front of our very own eyes and we don’t even see it. I hope our leaders do.

OBAMA DOES EUROPE

THE G-20 SUMMIT

President Obama has gone overseas for the first time. He was welcomed as a rock star and a hero. He made speeches and people cheered, clapped and raved around him. Medvedev called him his new comrade.

Unfortunately Obama is naïve, inexperienced and pathetic. He is acting like a child and he believes that everyone likes him, listens to him and thinks like him. I warn him and the American people that he is letting his guard down…too much. He is like a flower child preaching love and peace, but unfortunately the world does not work that way.

There are evil people out there and there always will be. North Korea just fired a rocket over Japan. “President Barack Obama, faced with his first global security crisis, called for an international response and condemned North Korea for threatening the peace and stability of nations "near and far."

Do you think North Korea cares? Obama wants the UN to take action. The UN is a corrupt and spineless organization that can’t do anything. They are useless and will not accomplish anything at all. Just watch and see. Yes, they will have meetings and talk, and talk and talk, but will do nothing because they can't.

Let today be a warning that “YOU CANNOT TRUST THE RUSSIANS!!! , or the Chinese, or the North Koreans or Iran. Reagan was right about achieving peace through a demonstration of strength.

America is letting its guard down and the leadership in congress as well as the president is not taking our country in the direction that we need to go.

The next few months and early next year the premise that I am making here will become more and more obvious. Let’s just hope it’s not too late.

God Bless America!

STATE OF THE UNION

I think that the president gave a great speech this evening, and as a friend of mine mentioned in an email today, we have to give him a chance.

The speech was better than what Georg W. Bush ever gave except for the one he gave after 9/11. Barack Obama is a young, energetic and charismatic individual. I believe that what he said in his speech came from his heart and I support him 110%. I want him to succeed and save our country.

My concern is is that he is again promising too much that I honestly believe he can't deliver. He wants to cure cancer in our lifetime, wants to increase the number of soldiers, promises universal health care, promises universal education through college and will bailout the banks.

It all sounds good, but he does not say how he is going to do all these things. I was very disappointed that he did not get into the illegal immigrant issue which needs to be addressed but overall his speech was uplifting and motivating.

The thing that bothered me the most about the speech was having to watch Biden and Pelosi sitting behind him. Those two individuals cause me concern but more on them later.

Bottom line is, the president gave a good speech and I support him as I hope everyone else does. I thought the Republican rebuttal was weak and I was not interested in hearing political propaganda.

I agree that we need to stick together and all work on solving the nation’s problems as a solidified nation.

Let’s give him a chance and see what happens in the coming months.
